About Me

I am a psychotherapist with a specialism in working with trauma, this includes post-traumatic stress, complex trauma, and trauma as a consequence of sexual assault. I work with a range of other needs, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, OCD, and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). I also work with neurodivergent people as they navigate a world often not designed for their needs. A central part of my work is supporting people as they navigate opposing truths, as both therapy and life can involve balancing hope and despair, comfort and challenge, safety and risk, fragility and strength, holding on and letting go.

I am registered member of the BACP, have two master's degrees in psychology and am currently conducting clinical doctoral research focused on clinical understandings of psychological trauma. In addition to my private work, I have worked clinically in a variety of settings, including a specialist NHS service supporting people who have experienced rape and sexual assault as well as third-sector addiction services.

I am a lived-experience practitioner, which means I have my own experience of long term therapy and its potential to bring meaningful change. This also means I understand how hard it can be to let go of ways of being that once kept us safe. I know that it is a privilege to support people in moments of vulnerability and this perspective informs my clinical work and deeply motivates me to provide consistent and effective care to everyone that I work with.
